HUNGRS is a digital food delivery system that links users to nearby restaurants and food providers. This online food delivery platform is a digital service curated to streamline the process of ordering meals from different kinds of restaurants and bistros. Using their mobile app, users have the liberty to browse menus, place orders, and have meals delivered directly to their doorstep. With real-time order monitoring, clients can track their food's status from preparation to delivery. HUNGRS allows customers to secure orders in advance, ensuring that meals arrive at their preferred time, which is immaculate for organizing gatherings or dinners for later in the day. A further helpful function is the option to place numerous orders at once, which allows users to order from different restaurants at the same time. Additionally, consumers may frequently use discounts, coupons, or loyalty points to make it more inexpensive. The platform allows restaurants to expand their reach, increase their sales, and manage their orders more effectively by utilizing integrated technologies.
Client Requirements
Our client reached out to Hyperlink InfoSystem with particular and custom needs for food delivery software designed to improve user experience and streamline operations. The platform is required to provide a smooth ordering experience, complete with simple navigation, real-time tracking, and comprehensive search filters for finding restaurants and menu options. They also wanted a Salesforce interface for CRM administration, Petpooja integration for efficient restaurant operations, and the option to book orders for future delivery.
Furthermore, the app also needed to be integrated with the Axis Bank payment system to provide safe transactions as well as functionality for combining numerous orders from different restaurants into one delivery. They also wanted an efficient dashboard for restaurant partners to manage menus, promotions, and deals, as well as a full admin dashboard for managing user accounts, orders, and statistics. The HUNGRS app also required order alerts, a feedback and rating system, and promotional capabilities to engage users with special offers and suggestions. Hyperlink InfoSystem was tasked with developing a system that not only facilitated smooth transactions but also increased customer involvement and satisfaction.

Project Approach & Results
Hyperlink InfoSystem began the HUNGRS project with a briefly structured methodology for ensuring a seamless execution process from design to deployment. Our research and strategy team curated a research group to study the food industry and delivery market, following user preferences and researching all competitors. This further helped the UI/UX designers to better align the capabilities of the app, which would be beneficial for users as well as help drive business objectives. For the design and development of HUNGRS, Hyperlink InfoSystem prioritized user-friendliness with clear navigation and functionality. The agility development framework lets the project remain in a flexible state with continuous incremental improvements at periodic intervals during all phases of the development.
Other integrations included Salesforce, Petpooja System, and Axis Bank for improvising and smoothening the entire app experience. For every integration, a new level of customization was added to ensure unified functionality with no tampering with performance. The HUNGRS app was released on iOS and Android and divided into 6 distinct apps with 3 common categories, i.e., food delivery, delivery partner, and restaurant partner. This distinction ensured no clash or confusion between users, riders, and merchants of the HUNGRS app. We conducted extensive testing to ensure the compatibility of the app with various devices, browsers, and network conditions. The team had been diligently working on bug fixes, load time improvements, and ensuring secure transactions. Following the launch of the app, Hyperlink InfoSystem ensured consistent support post-deployment and a few updates to enhance performance and integrate new functionalities as per user reviews.
The user adoption rate of the HUNGRS app was quite substantially applaudable, as there were thousands of downloads in a very few months.
It was particularly well received that the order merging feature and scheduled delivery options helped to make things more convenient for users. The integration enabled greater visibility and accelerated operations for the restaurants. Based on the insights provided by the integration of Salesforce, creating personalized marketing campaigns helped in user retention. The HUNGRS app curated by Hyperlink InfoSystem was built on a robust technology stack, making the app scalable and efficient through varied modules that allowed concurrency across multiple servers in no time, ensuring optimal performance.
Challenges
Order Merging Complexity:
Integrating orders from numerous restaurants with identical pickup and drop-off locations was a key feature, but executing it necessitated meticulous logistical planning. Other criteria, such as guaranteeing that all restaurants were within 500 meters and their delivery points were within 1 kilometer, had to be satisfied. Furthermore, the system was built to merge a maximum of three orders with a timing gap of no more than 15 minutes. Managing such tiny details while maintaining delivery efficiency and customer happiness was a problem.
Payment Integration Issues:
The implementation of Axis Bank's payment system needed precise preparation. While the bank's payment documentation was given in Java, Hyperlink InfoSystem had to develop it in Node.js, resulting in compatibility concerns. Initially, the technique was unsupported in the upgraded version of Node.js, prompting the introduction of the NODE OPTION method to address the issue. The team also needed to satisfy encryption and checksum standards, which necessitated further certification.
User Experience Considerations:
Providing a seamless user experience despite the complexities of various transactions, payment methods, and real-time tracking was a big priority. The software has to cater to a wide range of users while keeping a simple and accessible interface.
